I have to say that this one was my favorite in the series so far. It was a great light-hearted paranormal romance.
Jo flees D.C. and takes a job in New Orleans after the man she was involved with admits to being married. her two best friends had recently made The Big Easy their new home and found love with two hot lampirs. Jo is not lokking for love, she is trying to out run her past. She gets a job as a director of a community center that helps with underprivileged kids.
Maksim has not been able to get Jo out of his head since meeting her at Vittorio and Erika's wedding. He is annoyed that the woman wants nothing to do with him, which is odd because being a demon he exudes sex appeal. To get closer to her, he fudges a resume and begins working with the kids at her community center.
Jo starts having weird visions of her dead sister and turns to Maksim for comfort, which he is all too happy to give.
I loved this story and am hoping there is going to be another one in this series. If you have read the other books in the series you will like this one too.

As a fan of the lighter side of paranormal romance, I really enjoyed this book. I haven't read any other books by Kathy Love, but if they are relatively similar, this certainly won't be my last. The book is filled with an assortment of paranormal folk including demons, vampires, and werewolves. The hero, Maksim, is one sexy demon who finds himself drawn to a human. Jo is just coming out of a relationship and is carrying "baggage" and appears unaffected by considerable good looks and charm. I thought it was very cute how he woos her and wins her heart. As someone who hasn't read the other books in the series, I found the overall plot and characters easy to follow.
A good, quick read.

Very alluring and humorous too. What a balance the novel is. Love's series is fabulous. :)
