Very Hot! If you like m/m, m/m/f, then this is for you. There is actually a good plot too:) Holly did it again with this one!

This was not my most favorite Emma Holly book. When reading Holly, your not really looking for class, mostly just smut and there is nothing wrong with that. But like any girl I like my happy endings as well and this one went a little wonky. Just know that at the end Holly does what she hints at doing in a lot of her books. Forewarned is forearmed.

I enjoyed this story just like the other Emma Holly books I've read. I've yet to find one of her books that I don't enjoy. This story kind of surrounds the excavation of site called Hhamoun which was the site of Queen Tou's palace. I think I may have enjoyed it not only because it's a good story, but I also enjoyed Queen Tou's story in a previous book. There is m/f. m/m. and m/m/f sex scenes in the book, but I can't say that they feel unnecessary. The guilt Charles feels afterwards and his struggles show the complexities of people trying to deal with their morals and taboos when it comes to sex and relationships. Emma does an excellent job in building that story and showing the complexities of human nature. Read this book all in one sitting and looking forward to more of Emma Holly.
I enjoyed this book. I didn't read the previous books in the series, but I wasn't terribly lost either. There is a good plot which is a rarity in books that have erotic elements. There is m/f, m/m, m/f/m, and m/m/f. Stay away if you don't like explicit scenes and same sex scenes. Emma Holly manages to combine a good story with fantasy and romance.

This is great! I enjoyed the story line and the characters. A couple of surprises in there but never boring.
