Letty Ellison. Chase Brown thought he'd never see her again after she took off for the bright lights of the big city. Oh, she'd asked him to go with her, but his heart belonged on the ranch and Letty needed a chance to make her dreams of being a professional singer come true. Only they didn't. Nine years and one daughter later, Letty was back and Chase wasn't about to lose his heart a second time.
I was annoyed by the heroine. She came back because she had a very serious heart condition and yet she keeps not telling anybody to the point of being a complete idiot. Also I thought the way the daughter took to Chase was unlikely. And her brother, even if he wasn't used to children, was unlikeable in the way he treated her daughter. But despite all of that-- it wasn't a terrible read.

DENIM AND DIAMONDS
Nine long years ago a tearful Letty Ellison had fled Red Springs, Wyoming--and her beloved Chase Brown--to pursue her dreams. Life had dealt her some cruel blows, but with her head held high and her child in tow, she was finally coming home to the only man she'd ever truly loved. If he'd have her...
Seeing Letty again was almost more than Chase could bear. But coming face-to-face with her five-year-old daughter--another man's child--was harder still. Once, he'd wanted to marry Letty, but she'd chosen faraway diamonds over down-home denim. Even is she claimed she was back to stay, could he offer her his heart again?
