I can read horror but not to this extent, this is one of the most awful, sick, depraved books and I just couldn't finish it, it is truly horror on a sick sick level in all ways. I just couldn't stomach the sex descriptions or the cannibalism.

Depraved is right. This is one seriously sick, twisted, demented book. Bryan Smith's mind is licentious. I hope he takes his Haldol as prescribed. Now you just have to read this book, don'tcha? If you don't enjoy each and every abhorrent sentence in this book, well, then you cannot possibly be a horror fan.

Bryan Smith has become one of my favorite horror authors. Depraved is the sick twisted journey of an eclectic little cast of characters. When I say sick and twisted, I mean it. This horror gem was aptly named. Cannibals, exploitation, sociopathic killers, revenge and all in a backwoods town reminiscent of Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Bryan Smith covers a lot of ground here and manages to create characters with a bit of depth.

This is a must read for extreme horror fans.

I like a good horror story as much the next person, but this book just didn't do it for me. It started off good but then it just seemed to careen off into left field. It was just random sex and violence thrown all over the place. With some demented hillbillies, a demon, and a giant fat lady thrown in for good measure. I just wasn't a fan of this one.

Yep, sure is. I'm having trouble with this concept of "leisure horror."
