Loved it! It was great to revisit all the characters from her previous stories. Owen Purchase was one of my favorites. Great love story with great protagonists.

I could hardly wait to get to Book 5 of this series, because I love the hero, Owen Purchase. He plays a big part in Book 1, and here he finally he gets his own story, together with Tess, who is the third Fenner sister. Her older sister's story is in Book 1, Whisper of Scandal, and her younger sister is the heroine of Book 3, Mistress by Midnight. They are all good, but I have to say this one is my favorite. It totally lived up to my expectations. Owen Purchase is a former sea captain who unexpectedly inherits a title and estates, but he prefers to be out at sea. Tess has a reputation as a notorious widow but she is hiding a couple of big secrets.

If there is a theme to this series, it is that no one is the way they appear on the surface. You start every book thinking a certain way about the heroine's character, and she turns out to be a totally different person than you expect.

Great writing, great story & characters.
