Keri Arthur does it again!

I've been a fan of Arthur's since the beginning of the Riley Jensen series, but I wasn't expecting her to be an author that I'd love in other lines. This book was so good that I read it in about 5 hours. Destiny is a character worth following and I hope that there will be more stories in this line. The ending felt a little rushed after the build up throughout the rest of the book, but it didn't leave me wanting for anything but the next novel.

If you are expecting a tight plot similar to her Riley Jensen Series think again. I wanted to like this book but the plot just dragged. Couldn't quite get into it. Not a very good story at all. I wish I hadn't picked it up.

I really wanted to like this book. Unfortunately, it wasn't my type of book. That is not to say that it isn't well written and suspenseful - it's a good, solidly written story.

This book didn't quite fit the description released by the publisher. ...I wish the publisher's description for this book included the information that the main characters are humans who shapeshift into dragons - I wouldn't have purchased the book. I'm not a big fan of shapeshifting fantasy stories.

If you like paranormal romance with shapeshifting as a main focus, you'll like this story.

This was my first Keri Arthur book. The first chapter or two was difficult with the character's self-dialogue with her memory loss, but pretty much after page 22 I was hooked. I couldn't put it down. I can't recommend it enough!

I'm a fan of the Riley series by Keri Arthur, so I really wanted to like this book. I ended up giving it two stars however. It has a lot of potential, but in the end that's not enough.

The book opens up with Destiny waking up on a beach next to a dead man, with no idea who she is or how she got there. After a time, her memory returns and we learn that she is a seadragon who escaped from an institution that had held her captive and performed experiments on her for ten years. She meets Trae, an airdragon and a theif. From this point the plot crawls forward, so slow I was tempted to skim to the end. This and the fact that the characters were not at all interesting made this into a boring book.

Again, I really like Arthur's other work. I don't know if I'd recommend this series, though. It lacks the tight plot and action of her other books.

I enjoyed this book !

Only it is very much like C Feehan's books on Ghostwalkers.
Scientists do experiments, subjects try to escape the captors.
Different settings, different subjects, same premiss/inference.

Your turn, to read or not to read this book.

Not the best of Keri Arthurs books so far but I will go on to read the next book. I liked that the characters seemed to show restraint toward eachother for their sexual attraction for awhile not many of the characters in her books seem to do that most just seem to just jump right into bed...Oh and I now have a new word for if people try and say I'm whore(not that I am..lol), now I can just say I'm oversexed lol...

A really quick read. The book stimulates the imagination with ideas of flying dragons & sea dragons. It has an unusual additve of love & mystery. It is a book worth reading if you like something obscure.

This book begins with a very intrigueing storyline that I found enjoyable. It is well written and edited, the story develops nicely in both progress and depth. Ms. Arthur combines romance, mystery and action very pleasantly in this first book of the series that has me looking forward to the next volume.

Note for parents, that their are a couple of explicit adult scenes.

This book is a great start to a new series by a great author. She created great characters and it was good plot. I started it and couldn't put it down.

For some reason I couldn't get through this. It's an OK plot and decent enough characters for a formula romance, but it just didn't hold my attention. Definitely not the pace of the Riley Jensen series and not as successfully balanced (ie, paranormal but anchored in realistic urban environments).

A little slow to start for me but good read overall. Will continue to read if becomes a series. No werewolves involved.

Not a bad book, very easy to follow. Definitely a romance formula, but not so much angst it's unbearable. Not much that really pulls the couple together, though. It's just "love at first sight." But the world and mythology are interesting enough for me to want to know what comes next.
