As always, we meet old friends and make new ones in the race to save the world and preserve the human race. The action is non stop and the suspese will keep you turning pages well into the night.

This massive tome has a bonus at the end. Rollins includes a novella about assasin-turned-Sigma-agent Seichan which is really good in it's own right. Don't let this one get away!

I was kind of mixed on this one. I have enjoyed most of the previous Sigma novels from Rollins, however, this one just seemed too far-fetched to me. When I first heard about this new Sigma adventure, I was really looking forward to it mainly because of the aspects related to Mormonism (I grew up as a Mormon in Utah) but I don't think Rollins researched this very well - he actually got the name of the Mormon founder wrong a few times, citing John Smith when it should have been Joseph Smith. Then there was the premise in the start of the book about a secret history to the founding of America - I don't think this was ever properly addressed in the novel. Yes, there was all the information about a 14th colony of Native Americans, the gold plates and a possible Caucasian race who came to America from Israel, and the nanotechnology they supposedly used. But to me, this all didn't tie together very well. Then there was the non-stop violence and action - every time the Sigma team was making a discovery, the bad guys (Guild) would be right there! This was a little too much. I did like some of the information about native Americans and the locations of the book including Yellowstone Park which I visited last summer. It is pretty frightening that Yellowstone could erupt sometime soon as a massive volcano and wipe out mankind! Overall, to me this was one of the weakest of Rollins novels and I would only mildly recommend it.
Continuation of the 'SIGMA' series. More US history in this book. I enjoyed it - if you are a fan of Rollins, this one will not disappoint (I also learned a few things about US history).
Couldn't stick with it--too many characters to track, too much going on to track, too many descriptions that I didn't know what was going on, just too much of everything so quickly became boring to me.

Could the founding of America be based on a fundamental lie, one coded in secrets that stretch back to before the birth of Christ, to a mystery buried in the prehistoric past? The truth lies hidden within the ruins of a cursed lost colony of the Americas. A place known only as: THE DEVIL COLONY. The book is full of history, mystery, action and suspenseful adventure. The part I enjoyed most was interesting history about the early settlers of the US and the discoveries of Lewis and Clark. Rollins did lost of great research for this book which took him 2 years to write. I look forward to reading the next book in the Sigma Force series. Highly recommended!
Great historical fiction about Native Americans and birth of our nation. EXPANSIVE read: 600 pages, lots of plot twists and thruns and plots within plots. From that view point, a bit hard to follow. But overall a very enjoyable read.
Yet another wonderful & exciting (not to mention educational!) book from Mr. Rollins! This is definitely a page turner - full of intrigue, this story will keep you on the edge of your seat. You'll not want to put it down!
A little history, a little mystery, action, adventure and a teeny bit of romance thrown in. Loved it, as I do all his writing.
