One of the really cool things about large print books is how many pages they have. It seems there are at least twice the pages you'd find in a regular print book. But that doesn't matter. As the pages fly by so fast you are always surprised when you look at the page number of the page you are on. And I just happened to have a number of Block's books which are all large print.
This "Matthew Scudder" book is different from several of the ones preceding it, in that there are no violent sex crimes Matt has to solve. Which was a relief.
Instead, a lot of time is spent on Matt's private life and his angst about the women in his life. Which why I only gave it four stars.
