I have found myself reading and rereading many of Johanna Lindsey's books. This was a nice read but not one I plan to reread. There was more hate than romance. Still love the author though, just wasn't my kind of book.

Good book. Finished it in one day. Kept my interest from beginning to end and wasn't filled with a bunch of descriptive paragraphs about irrelevant stuff! The only thing I didn't care for was the fact that the lady of the book was 'coached' to be a better person like she was a 2 year old. But it was written well enough that I was able to enjoy it.

Altho JL is consistent, this book is a little on the flat side. I thought the "Taming of the Shrew" concept would have more substance and life. I can't quite put my finger on what is missing, but I did finish the book just a few days ago and it left me unmoved.

I love Lindsey, but frankly I was a little disappointed. The hero is going to "fix" the heroine, it seem highly unlikely that during this era such a guy exists. He spends the whole book analyzing her. Still love Lindsey but this one left me a little confused.
