I really really liked this book. Pete is being so hard on Jack, but he feels he deserves it. No-one is as hard on Jack as as he is on himself. He has no feeling of self worth and feels his only good part is what he shares with Pete. I so enjoy his sparring with Belial, other demons, humans and semihumans. His usual snarky self.
Possible spoiler alert: Jack has to give up more of his humanity to save Pete, their coming daughter, himself and the world. I wish Jack and Pete would finally admit that they love each other.
