This is definitely not my favorite Coulter book.
She is kidnapped the day before her wedding, raped, and by the second time he forces himself on her she feels uncontrollable passion???? That was too much of a leap and I never got past it.

Be forewarned that it contains graphic violence and rape.

Classic!
Very classic - One of Coulter's best.
Good book, great author
For beautiful Cassie, the seething city of Genoa seems a world away from the great 18th century estate where she was raised. It is here that she meets Lord Anthony Wells, the butally handsome aristocrat who swears that he will win Cassies heart even as he conquers her body. To give you an idea ofhow much Anthony--the devil-- wants cassandra, he kidnaps her on the eve of her wedding to another man and sails away with her.
Great book!
This is an early Coulter where rape is still an acceptable form of seduction.
The devil's daughter is Arabella Wells, daughter of Anthony Welles, Earl of Clare, of Devil's Embrace. Independent and strong willed as her father, she is a blonde-haired hellion with eyes as black as midnight revels. When Arabella goes adventuring to Naples, Italy to solve the mystery of her father's missing ships and cargoes, she discovers that the person behind the thievery is an enemy from her father's past who packs Arabella off to a harem in South Africa
I enjoyed this book very much. A very intertaining read.
