from the back cover:
The Diabolical Baron is the tale of a shy young girl named Caroline Hanscombe who dreams of music, not men, and of Jason Kincaid, a jaded lord who has to marry someone, and draws Caroline's name from a number of slips that a friend throws into a nut bowl. While her parents are delighted to accept his offer, Caroline finds her new fiance alarming, and Jason soon realizes that he should have been a bit more sober when he decided to choose a bride - particularly when he meets up again with his first love.

I liked this story, the author had two different relationships going on and didn't shirk one for the other. The four people were fleshed out well with enough of their personal thoughts to get you to care for all of them.
