Neat police procedural. Peter Diamond finds an autistic Japanese girl who is the key to corporate under-dealings.
This is my favorite of all the Peter Diamond books. There is a sweetness in the large detective making friends with this petite Japanese girl and trying to find her parents. There is humor and just plain fun in pairing Peter with a Sumo wrestler in this search. If you don't read any other Peter Lovesey book (and they are all good in different ways), read this one!

Sometimes the plot stretched the limits of my imagination, but it was certainly a page-turner.
