If you liked Diary of a Mad Bride you will also enjoy this one. The only weird thing about it...mistakes. One of the diary entries is for November 31st. There is no November 31st. Does she not have a copy editor? Still enjoyable!

This book was good but, not as funny as I had expected based on her previous book, Mad Bride to Be.

Love diary style books. They are a fast read because there are no chapters. Amy becomes pregnant and is her usual mad self that started in "Diary of a Mad Bride". She starts a new job because the magazine she worked for folded, married for 2 years happily and hanging around the same friends; she decides she wants to have a child. She's making list and checking them off as she goes and driving everyone around her nuts makes this book. Sometimes funny and at other times very poignant.

This book is hilarious. I dragged through Diary of a Mad Bride, but this was a million times better. Very, very funny.

Sequel to Diary of a Mad Bride. Must read the first book to grasp this book (although it's not hard to jump in). Wonderfully funny!

Just as funny as its predecessor, Diary of a Mad Bride, though I felt that this one rang a little more true than the first one. Both were quite funny, very enjoyable reads.

Amy Thomas is back! This time she has taken it upon herself to obsess about her pregnancy. She goes through one misadventure after another as she realizes that her birth date's looming and she hasn't achieved the tasks at hand on her 63-item To Do List. To make matters worse, she's lost her job, owns a rather small apartment and her husband finds it difficult to deal with her neurotic manner. She begins to wonder whether having a child was a good idea after all...

This novel is hilarious! Amy's one of the most neurotic characters ever written. Just when I thought she couldn't be more insubordinate in Diary of a Mad Bride, her obsessive behavior reaches outrageous and laugh out loud proportions in the second novel. Laura Wolf is a great writer, not unlike Sophie Kinsella -- author of Confessions of a Shopaholic. Their writing styles are quite similar.

Diary of a Mad Mom-to-Be is a great summer reading investment. Highly recommended...

Amy Thomas Stewart is a newlywed and a career woman, and becoming a mom is the last thing on her to-do list. So why is Amy obsessing about baby clothes and ogling pregnant women on the street? Suddenly, Amy realizes the inconceivable: She wants a baby-even though she's just lost her job, their apartment's way too small, and she doesn't have a clue as to her ovulation cycle. Caught up in a passion to procreate, Amy knows she has to strike while the iron is hot. And if getting pregnant is making Amy this crazy, just think what will happen when the stick turns blue...

Baby or Bust!
When last seen, Amy Thomas, the mad bride-to-be, was working her way through her 70-item to-do list, trying to keep chicken off the reception menu, and vowing never to change her name. Now Amy Thomas Stewart is a newlywed and a career woman, and becoming a mom is the last thing on her to-do list. So why is Amy obsessing about baby clothes and ogling pregnant women on the street?
Suddenly Amy realizes the inconceivable: She wants a babyeven though shes just lost her job, their apartments way too small, and she doesnt have a clue as to her ovulation cycle. Caught up in a passion to procreate, Amy knows she has to strike while the iron is hot. And if getting pregnant is making Amy this crazy, just think what will happen when the stick turns blue

if you read Mad Bride To Be, then you are familiar with this character and her over obsessive/anal personality. Very funny!!

This book is an amusing and somewhat hysterical account of a woman who is desperate to become a mother, sometimes to the point of obsession. The author's accounting of the trials and tribulations of becoming pregnant through pregnancy will have the reader laughing.

Fun book to read. Especially if you, or anyone close to you, has been pregnant. I liked the "Diary of a Mad Bride-to-be" better, but sequels usually aren't as good as the originals. I shared a few parts of this book with my book club this evening and we shared several laughs and "too true!" moments. :)

Written as a journal, a funny story of the months of trying to get pregnant and then the 9 months up to the birth. Good, easy read. Same style as her first book Diary of a Mad Bride.

I don't know if it is my dislike of children, but this book wasn't nearly as funny as the first. It was still amusing but it did not top Diary of a Mad Bride in my opinion.

I found this book to incredibly annoying for the most part. There are a few laugh out loud moments but overall it's incredibly whiny.
