This is a very entertaining book. If you like stories about psychics you will like this one. It is not easy to put down.

Over the last few days I have read the Seer Series by Linda Joy Singleton. Don't Die Dragonfly, Last Dance, Witch Ball, Sword Play, and Fatal Charm.
This was a really fun YA series about a 16 year old psychic girl named Sabine. Each book she has to go through these great journeys, like saving an unknown girl, helping a ghost, stopping a vengenful spirit, helping an old friend, and stopping a murderer. Also, throughout the whole series there is an ongoing storyline where Sabine has to find charms that were left by her great-great-great grandmother and scattered through different ancestors. The charms will be clues to lead to an old remedy book that could save her grandmother from an hereditary illness.
These are such quick, fun YA books, but each has a strong storyline and a satisfying ending. These books can be read by the younger YA crowd as there's hardly any of sexual content (only kissing) or strong language, but it is a good enough story to be enjoyed by the older YA's and adults.
Overall, it was a great, fun series :-)

I read this young adult book in one day! Maybe because I am twice as old as the suggested reader. I don't care though, because it helped me escape into a world of the paranormal. Sabine is a young girl trying to find her way in life with a secret that she hides only to protect herself from becoming the outcast she was in her former school. She finds her way through her mundane life and finds love, friends and people who really like her for who she is. And someone she needs to trust to help her Grandmother. It helps the reader believe that even if your down and out there is always something out there about yourself that lets the real you shine through.
Perfect for young readers because it's not overtly romantic or crude... Some elements of love/like but a kiss is as far as it goes.
I would recommend this to my young friends and nieces... I will save this for my little one for when she is ready...

I have had this book forever on my Kindle and finally decided to give it a read. I believe there are six book in this series right now. This was a very quick read and was okay. The dialogue throughout is a bit stiff and awkward and the story is predictable.
The main character, Sabine, can see glimpses of the future and occasionally see ghosts. She is starting over at a new high school pretending to be a "normal" girl after some events at her old high school caused her to leave. When Sabine sees a vision of a bloody dragonfly and then she meets a girl with a dragonfly tattoo she is worried that she won't be able to keep her Seer gift secret for long.
This is one of those books where the main character sees a vision and spends a lot of time trying to figure out the vision and then stop those events from happening. It reminded me a bit of Laurie Faria Stolarz's Blue is for Nightmares series; except this book was less scary and more awkwardly written.
The dialogue is a bit stiff and awkward throughout and the story is very predictable. It's mostly a lot of high school drama and mystery. I never related to any of the characters that well and don't plan on reading future books in this series. The story does wrap up pretty well though, so that was nice.

I would recommend Laurie Faria Stolarz's Blue is for Nightmares series if you are interested in reading about a YA seer who solves creepy mysteries. If you are looking for another series kind of like Blue is for Nightmares, this one is okay if not as well written. I don't plan on reading any more books in this series.

I enjoyed this entire series. It was one of those that I wish wouldn't have ended.
