I loved this book. A year or so ago, I read the book "Drop Dead Gorgeous" without realizing it was a sequal to the book "To Die For." I found the heroine, Blair Mallory, so ditsy and girly that I had trouble getting through the book. But, because I do enjoy Linda Howard's writing, I finally got around to reading "To Die For." To my amazement, I really, really enjoyed it. Oh, Blair is still ditsy and girly, but because it was the first book, her character was more explained and defined. Now I found myself laughing at her ploys instead of just rolling my eyes. When I finished the book, I got out the sequal and am now reading it with different eyes. The book is a light hearted change of pace, but I think you'll enjoy it as well.
While I really enjoyed this audio book I couldn't get past the voice of the narrator. She sounded more like an old lady with a bad southern accent than the blond haired southern belle she is supposed to be. All in all it was a geat and well written story.
Really, really cute story - Blaire is a riot! She reminds me very much of Evanovich's Stephanie Plum - just a southern version! Great story!
Great! It is a great story line. Funny and serious. Really enjoyed it! -Unabridged 8 tapes
It is light hearted and done with a squeaky female voice. I personally don't like all the references that this author makes to penal errections. Other than mentioned it is a mystery that I would have enjoyed more if I had read it instead of listened to. Don't enjoy the reader's voice.
