Slightly different the movie. Written in 1958 (this book published in 1985). Nothing too politically incorrect for today's tender sensibilities (I'm talking about parents and teachers), other than a smoking elf, and a Good Boys and Girls list with only Anglo-American names (well, Pierre may be an exception.)
