These recipes are all very basic, for example do you need to know how to make pancakes, eggs, etc? This cookbook is very basic and gleaned recipes that are all over the internet. I looked forward to this cookbook before I bought it brand new, but was the biggest waste of money ever. The only way it might be ok is if its for someone that has never been in a kitchen at all and has no idea what they are doing!!

This is one of my favorite go to books...not for exotic recipes but rather for frugal ideas to run my household. Need how to make bath bombs for a gift? Window cleaner? Great laundry soap for pennies..and then be able to use up leftovers by tossing them into the structure of a basic recipe? I have a couple hundred cookbooks in my collection...but there are times where I forget what the combination was that worked so well in cleaning the shower....hints, tips, basic recipes, the ones that will carry you for a lifetime.

I've owned this cookbook for a few years now and it is in regular rotation. It is my go to book when I need to make a meal with what we already have on hand. Some things are basic but I think this book is very informative and the recipes turn out well. Once you have a basic recipe, you can adjust and refine anyway you like. That's what I like about Dining on a Dime.
