While it pertained more to average things (businesses and sexual harrasment) than do the other books of his that I enjoy more, I REALLY enjoyed reading about this man's endeavors to see that justice prevailed.

Classic Crichton, minus the science. Really, I liked this one more than most. Its modern and more easily related to things you can see happening.

I love everything by Michael Crichton and this book was no exception. This was his book about sexual harassment that was turned into a movie starring Demi Moore. As usual, the book is better than the movie in my opinion! A real page turner from beginning to end!

I picked this up in the Airport before a flight, and was half way through it before I realized I had seen the movie a few years earlier, heh.. It's very good. I actually enjoyed it a little more than the movie, and it drew me into the story more too.

A woman scorned is a formidable thing. Especially when she's your boss. This book gives men a taste of what women have been dealing with for centuries. The book is much more engrossing than the movie because of Chrichton's superb writing.

I like the characters. The story about sexual harassment was interestinng because a man was a victim. I have to say I thought Meredith is a crybaby.

Although this is a work of fiction, Crichton says it is based on a true story. Principals in the case agreed to be interviewed with the understanding their names not be revealed. It's a page-turner.
I love Michael Crichton's books. They are so off the wall and hit you from behind every time. There are just so many twists and turns, that you find yourself looking totally in the wrong direction for the bad guy. Fabulous!

Meredith Johnson, the woman in question, apparently has a problem separating her personal life (a slut) from her professional (a woman in power) and is systematically sexually harassing various men reporting to her.
Tom is one such man but instead of leaving with his tail between his legs like all the others. He begins a sexual harrassment lawsuit against both Meredith and the company they both work for.
What happens next is just amazing and well thought out. A terrific tale.

Good story that works out right at the end!
Basis for the movie of the same name starring Demi Moore and Michael DOuglas. As usual, book was better than the movie.
Great book! Excellent read.
I really didn't think I would like this book, but it turned out to be another great book by Michael Crichton.
A very well-written and fascinating mystery. A wonderful read!
A very exciting and good read
Great read. Kept me involved the whole time.
A brutal struggle in the cutthroat computer indstry;a shattering psychological game of cat and mouse;an accusation of sesual harassment that threatens to derail a brilliant career. This is a must read.
Great book, even better than the Michael Douglas movie.
Good book, by a great author
A much better book than many other Michael Crichton books. I usually find his endings to be sudden and contrived. Not as much with this one. A good entertaining read for the beach or rainy day.
Thought provoking book.
If you loved the movie, you will love the book. However, the book is much more suspenseful.
Role reversal in a sexual harassment suit starts this story off with a bang, but the main female character's character is so weak that only the side plots kept me reading. Not Crichton's best.
Classic Crichton.
If You haven't seen the movie, and who hasn't, the book goes deeper... if You have seen the movie, read the book. Vivid!

A good read. If you want to know what sexual harassment is and how it is dealt with by the law, this story tells it. Takes place in a tech company, woman harasses her subordinate.
Very suspenseful, didn't want to put it down. Better than the movie that is named for it. Takes you into the world of high-tech.
"Up-and-coming executive at the computer firm DigiCom, Tom Sanders is a man whose corporate future is uncertain...Sanders finds himself caught in a nightmarish web of deceit in which he is branded the villian..."
This is the first book I've read by Crichton and I was surprised. I didn't think I'd like it but it was suspensful and had me wondering.
A brutal struggle in the computer industry,a psychological game of cat and mouse.
This tried to be a sophisticated commentary on corporate politics and gender roles, instead it's just stupid.

Really good. Much more material than the movie.
Michael Crichton's Disclosure is a modern computer industry story of intrigue and deception. Tom Sanders is a computer engineer with DigiCom, a multinational software design corporation based in Seattle. Tom, an old timer with over ten years at DigiCom, is preparing to take on a promotion to head the division of Advanced Products. Much to his dismay he finds out that an old fling of his, Meredith Johnson will be given the office instead in the name of diversity.
Tom is crushed but vows to be a good trooper and work hard for the benefit of the company. Soon he uncovers information that is troubling and Meredith hits on him for "old time sake". His position is in jeopardy and he blows the whistle on Meredith. No one believes his story as she counters than he has assaulted her. Tom is forced into a battle for his job and his reputation. The action moves fast as the suspense builds to a satisfying conclusion.

Great book before a motion picture about sexual harrassment reversed.
A suspenseful psychological game of cat & mouse...A shocking accusation that threatens to derail a brilliant career.
I have tried to read this book on several occasions and each time, I give up. Just not my type of book.
Fast paced. Excellent view of corporate problems - Sexual harrassment, greed, power.
A turnaround story. Power is not always male and neither is sexual harrassment.
Boilerplate Crichton - a decent quick beach read

Good plot, very exciting.
A good story but seem a little contrived. Even at that I enjoyed it very much, in fact I staid up late because I wanted to finish it before I went to bed.

YAs will love all the technology and the author's easy, readable style, but the graphic sex and obvious theme that harassment is power may make Disclosure a more suitable choice for public than for school libraries.

Will Crichton's next book be a best seller? Does the Rising Sun appear in the east? The king of the blockbuster novel-- and the blockbuster movie--Crichton has lately been taking on controversial issues. In this new work, already sold to the movies for $4 million, a man finds himself accused of sexual harassment by his new boss--and former lover.

Based on a true story, this 1993 novel deals directly with a Corporate Issue that remains with us today: Sexual Harassment as a Weapon of Control.
The story of Tom Sanders situation lasts a mere week, but exposes months of manipulations leading up to his being set up by a former lover turned boss. There are a lot of twists, turns and political intrigue as the story develops, and a big ending that you will probably see coming.
The "advanced" technology employed in this book is dated now, but the vision of technology to come was quite accurate, even visionary. Technology also plays a roll in the story's outcome.
This book is a fairly easy read, with some very short chapters mixed in with the longer. The writing seldom strayed into technical areas very far. And while seldom explicit, I will characterize the story as adult in nature.
