While I enjoyed his writing style immensely, I believe our author Franzen is a little enamored with himself as an adult. The stories from his childhood, however, are quite entertaining.

Not my favorite audio book. Franzen is in love with his own story, to the point that we hear about his church youth group ad nauseum...who took drugs, why they took drugs, why he didn't take drugs, his first girlfriend and what she wore, where and how they fooled around, high school pranks on the roof of the school...you get the picture.
