I love Franzen's writing style. He is able to write about his personal experience and at the same time protect his privacy and that of his intimates. If you came of age in the 70's, you will enjoy this book.

The book's parts seems somewhat disconnected at times. My favorite part is when he writes about his time in the christian youth organization.
