This is the best of Jennifer McMahon's books! Twists and turns and surprises galore - couldn't put this one down! McMahon lets you see just enough to think you know what's going on and then throws in a twist. Suspenseful and scary - what fun!

This was a fabulous mystery/ghost story! I couldn't put it down and weeks later, am still thinking about the characters. I can't wait for Jennifer McMahon's next book to come out! She is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors!

Books that make you go hmmm! That is where this one lies for me. It is a well written fast paced (after about 100 pages) book that does not answer all of your questions, so if you read and want absolute closure this is not for you. It was very different, yet somehow the story sounded like something I have read before, I guess it best reminds me of Me and Emma but it is certainly a good story with alot of twists and turns but a somewhat open ending that keeps you asking questions.

Yet another great book from Jennifer McMahon. I have to say I think is her best. I also love the short chapters she uses, it allows me to just pick up the book and read a few pages when I get a few minutes here and there with two little ones running around. I feel that keeps the pace of the book to go quick as well.
Can't wait for her next one!

Ten years ago, an unconventional pack of art students at a private college in Vermont formed a group they called the "Compassionate Dismantlers". Their motto was to truly understand something, to set it free, was to dismantle it. Ten years ago, things went terribly awry. Secrets were made and covered up and long forgotten. Now, mysterious postcards surface with the group's motto on it. Who sent the postcards? And why? And what will happen to all of those long-buried secrets? There are a fair amount of twists and turns to this story. I enjoyed it!
I HATED the characters in this book. Every.single.one, with the exception of the daughter, Emma. I was super disappointed, because I have loved all of the other McMahon books.
I finished it but have no clear idea of what it was about. Sad
Not as good as The Secret History (Since this book is compared to that book in the official reviews). Can't identify with Suz or any of the other characters. Couldn't enjoy the ghostly Danner story. All the foul language and apathy distracts like a fly that invades your space. Even though I don't like this particular book it is apparent that the author is a talented story teller.
I hope she writes a follow up! I felt left hanging on this one on a lot of things
I found it really hard to care about any of these characters, I only read about half the book because the situation was dragging along so slowly I lost interest.
Good book!
Good Book, Ending I did not see coming!
