I was pleasantly surprised by this book. I was expecting it to be another catty teen novel - like Gossip Girl, but it had a surprising amount of substance. A novel about a young woman trying to find her way in the world and in the world of opera. While it addresses many issues modern teens face, it does not become a sob story or overdramatic. My only complaint is its occasional use of text/im speech.
