This was the third book in Cast's Divine by... series, and my least favorite. The 18 year old main character was immature, mean spirited and generally pretty unlikable. Her love interest wasn't well developed in the book, and the characters from the first book were largely absent. I very much enjoyed the first two entries in this series, but this felt like it was written by a different author. A disappointing read.
What could have been an interesting series turned into nothing but teen lit with barely legal nookie. I am seriously about done with this author's cheese. I mean seriously, how does one go from the first two books in the series having 35+ year-old as it's lead to one that's barely 18? Especially one who is supposed to start off as being more mature than most girls her age devolve into a spoiled brat (who must not really read books like she's in). Between that and the paradox that this author creates by her own time travel rules, I was just grateful it wasn't as drawn out as it could have been. Total bummer of a read, may even give up the author all-together.
Just as enjoyable as the first two in this series. You need to ready Divine by Chance and Divine by Choice to totally understand the story and characters.
