Good book, quick read. It's broken down into three sections and each section containing short stories. I had to put the book down a few times just because of the nature of it....some stories were more touching than others and with an aging dog in my life, it's hard to read stories about dying pets when I have my own pooch to worry about.
A great read for anyone who loves animals.

A highly enjoyable book that was easy to read and hard to put down. It's much like James Herriott's "All Creatures Great and Small," written in the same style of funny, touching, very real stories to which everyone can relate. Each section of the book has short stories relating to a theme, like the "Once In A Lifetime" section of bizarre cases he never expected, and "Training The Rookie," where he tells lots of great stories about how new he was to treating farm animals. It's a terrific book!
Oh, and if you have NOT yet read Herriott's entire "All Creatures" series, run, run NOW to get the books. They are by far the best ever: laugh-out-loud funny and touching books.
