Let me first say I am a staunche crocheter. I thought I would never ever be able to knit without some element of crochet. While I was looking online for another book for a friend I found this book. Then promptly forgot about it. Then we went hunting in the library for the first book and found this. I brought it home and started reading it last night. As of this morning I have cast on my first project and I have happily knit around 10 rows. Not much but a start. This book is awesome for beginners who need help. It also has some pretty awesome modern patterns I can't wait to try.
