This is a must read! It's the 4th bookijn the californians series
great ending to a series!
This book ties together all the loose ends in the series very neatly. You feel satisfied when you're finished, like catching up on the lives of old friends. I truly enjoyed the entire series.
From the cover:
Marcail Donovan, just 19, has accepted her first teaching position in tiny Willits, California. It's not long before she finds herself at odds with Mrs. Cordelia Duckworth, an elderly widow who not only owns half the town, she's also on the school board and rules with an iron hand. Marcail loves her teaching position, even though Mrs. Duckworth's 11-year-old grandson, Sydney, is a definite handful.
When Marcail finds herself caught in a sudden, blinding snowstorm, she's forced to seek shelter for the night at the home of Dr. Alexander Montogomery-and is thrust into a small-town scandal that threatens her career. Will the pretty new school-teacher bow to the false accustations of the embittered Mrs. Duckworth? Or will she fight back?
When the compassionate young doctor offers Marcail a way to remain the town's teacher, she faces an inner turmoil worse than any storm. Is the independent Marcail willing to give up her own dreams to bring God's love to the children she teaches?
