To be fair, I wasn't a huge fan of Damned (in fact, I haven't really liked anything Palahniuk has written since Rant), so if you liked it, you may feel differently about this one than I did. As it stands, I think the trouble is that Palahniuk has given up on crafting a great story to just cash in on the gross shock value. Which, his choice. But I found this book lacking in engaging characters or a decent plot and as such didn't enjoy it at all.
The second installment of the Damned trilogy. I did like the first book much better. Still has wonderful vocabulary and disturbing imagery. Not for young adults at all. I'll pick up the third installment from the library to read when it comes out.
