This book continues the high quality of previous books. Grace's fiance has an accident and his aunty is committed to keeping Grace away from him. Precious and Grace go to a safari area to locate a man who is given a bequest following the death of one of their clients. All is not as it seems...in two of their cases. Or, as Precious would say, "It is well known". You will enjoy this chapter of life in Botswania.

#11 in the No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency cozy mystery series set in Botswana. We're off on another journey to Gabarone, Botswana to visit Mma Ramotswe, Mma Makutsi, Mr. JLB Matekoni and the rest of the circle of friends. Mma Ramotswe is commissioned by a wife--and then by her husband--to find out if the other is having an affair.

The second case comes via letter from America, a lawyer asking her to track down a guide--name unknown--at a safari camp--name also unknown--in the Okavango Delta in the north of the country. A woman has died and left some money to that guide who was very kind to her on her safari trip a few years past.

Mma Kutsi's fiance is seriously injured in an accident involving a delivery truck and she must battle his old auntie, who doesn't like Mma Kutsi and attempts to keep her from seeing Phuti.

As always, a lovely visit with lots of wise words and warm fuzzies and not a whole lot of "mystery" per se. Very skillfully read by Lisette Lecat.

The 11th installment of the No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency finds Mma Matuski at odds with her fiances' family after he is injured. Precious & Grace travel to the Delta of Botswana on a case, thereby giving readers more insight into the sights of Botswana. Very enjoyable read!

You could read this book faster than the 8.5 hours it would take to listen to the book, But listening to this book is such a rich experience, that you should not miss. The reader is well skilled and makes the accents, and Africa come alive. I love so much about this series.

I always enjoy Smith's writing. It is lyrical with a rhythm all its own. But I didn't think the story itself was as interesting as others in the series.

This latest book in the Lady's Detective Agency series is like a visit with old friends. It amazes me that Mr. Smith has made his characters ring so true. This book gives Mma Ramotswe a chance to help several grateful people with the help of Mma Makutsi. If you haven't read the series, you have a lot of pleasure to catch up on!

I love this series. They sort of remind me of old Columbo shows.

These books are so similar from one to another in so many ways that I forget sometimes whether I've read a specific one or not. Yes at the same time, they get better, not worse, for the familiarity.
