As much as I love Lori Foster, the Winston clan, and the SBC fighters, the story in Double the Pleasure was just so-so. Based on the reviews of the other stories in the book, I didn't bother with them.

I loved the whole idea of twins switching places. I'm a huge fan of Lori Foster, but the other novellas lacked any 'umph'. I was disapointed and as such, had to give a lower score.
Better luck next time.

Deuces Wild, foster's story, is the best (as always). Luck of the Irish is whiny, Your Room or Mine is hot, Double the Danger so-so.

Wow, amazing how some are cutting this book up. It's brain candy... No idea why the detailed, over fussy reviews come into play here. Have fun, it's an entertaining read.

Deuces Wild...twins. yehaw! sweet.
Luck of the Irish....hard working, sexy, quiet guy..yum
Your room or mine?...accountant/CFO...sexy, but really? I work in finance and not....
Double the Danger...would have enjoyed more if the story was longer. great characters, but i felt like there was stuff missing.

Lori Foster's story of the Winston twins, Dexter & Hart, switching places so that Hart can pursue his fighting career without letting his family know what he's doing. Meanwhile, Dexter moves into Hart's new apartment, and falls for the lady next door. Cute story. I am not sure what the other three novellas have to do with the title DOUBLE PLEASURE, but they were OK.

The first story by Lori Foster was well done the rest were only so-so. Predictable plots, boring characters, etc. I think you must have to be a really good writer to write short stories as your every word has to count...

Over all not God Awful, but not all that great either.
Fosters was typical of her writing, and had little to no angst...but it feels like there are some details missing. And the heroine forgives the Hero way to easliy esp considering how flimsy his excuse for lying was. Said excuse did more to make both the H and his twin look more like jerks then Heroes, though she did make me want to read the twin' story, wherever that turns up.
Deirdre Martins.. was low angst, and pointless plot devices that served the sole purpose of annoying me. I'd actually started her story months ago, and got bored with it, and forgot I'd ever started it... I did manage to finish it, but if you're new to DM's works, don't start with this novella! It will not make you a fan. She's better with whole length novels where's she's got the room to create whole stories.
Jacquie D'Alessandro's was the strongest of the 4 stories... Usually I don't like the hate at first site theme, but JD carries it well. Of the four authors in this anthology, she's the only one who's told a complete story in a limited amount of space.
McCall's was just bad. I'm hoping this is a case like DM's, where her whole novels are actually worth reading, as this short was not! It was supposed to be cutesy, but I just found it annoying. It felt like you were dropped right in the middle of an already ongoing story and were missing half the details! And the heroine comes off as inept and the Hero as a callous jerk. I pretty much sped read through it, just to get it over with!
I'd say if you're looking for a book to cleanse your palate, so to speak, this is a good choice, though it's not necessarily a good read. (on a side note ditto to the reviewer who mentioned that aside from Fosters, the title didn't really apply the other 3 stories)

I enjoyed the Lori Foster and Deirdre Martin stories. I've never read Jacquie D'Alessandro before but I might read more because I liked her story too. I did not like the last story.

Lori Fosters story is the best and even then it wasn't nearly what she normally writes. The rest were barely so-so.

I really like Deidre Martin's stories so I ordered this book.
I think the stories were too short to get into anything. I was thinking that the book was going to have some fire to the scenes. It was more like steam. The title is very misleading.
Lori Foster: I had never read one of her books. The little Novella was OK. Wish I knew more of the back story and it moved to quickly to really like the characters too much. It was about 100 pages and I think it needed 100 more to make it good.
Deirdre Martin: Not her best. Very disapointed in the story. There were some of the characters from past books of hers and I was trying to place this Novella in the Timeline. I feel sorry Maggie that she did not get her own Book.
Jacquie D'Alessandro: This story was good. It completed itself with nothing to worry about. She had the details and nothing left hanging.
Penny McCall: I could not get through it. The writing was bad. I hated both characters. I really hate weak women and guys that think they are all that.
