Read this book through and practiced the ideas. I lost 10 pounds the first two weeks. And I only needed to lose 30 anyway!
The plan is easy to follow and gives specific details to accomplish your goals. Lots of recipes and advice. If you stick with the eating plan, you will lose weight.

This book has the detailed premise behind the low-carb Atkins diet, as well as some recipes and ideas for doing the diet. It is a bit complicated of a read in the first several chapters, but it does a great job of explaining *why* the low-carb diet will help a sedentary person lose weight and *how* to do it the Atkins way. I recommend this for those looking for information about the Atkins diet in particular, or low-carb diets in general.

This book has some good recipes and some good ideas...however, my husband and I have been much more successful using the South Beach diet. (We've lost over 110 pounds between the two of us on South Beach.)
