This book was purchased for me by a family friend during a low point in my life, a friend who only glanced over the description and thought it to be an uplifting story period...not one with Christian overtones. The first half of the book is a very beautiful and uplifting story. The second half of the book would be beneficial to a Christian reader. I am thankful to have this copy to send to someone who would appreciate it.

... for my life." This book was a key resource for my wife and I in making a leap of faith to change course in our lives. I don't know that a book alone can do that if you aren't already wrestling with such issues, but for those who are, I believe this book will be very helpful.

The first half is an allegory about challenges you face when face with following a dream; it is both funny and insightful as the story unfolds. The second half is more practicial information, including biblical examples of God-given dreams and how one often needs to step out in faith.

The most poweful concept for me that was reinforced -- and unpacked -- in this book is: often God doesn't take away fear in pursuing a dream, but instead asks you to trust Him for the strength you need.

So enjoyed the way the author started the book off with an allegorical story to help grasp his points. Such a good book and inspiring to keep reaching for the dreams God has planted in our hearts.

Great life-changing story! Can't tell to much or else I will give it away! It is WELL worth your time reading it! I have had fellow-managers in my field say the exact thing. As a matter of fact, that is why I bought this book and read it; because a fellow-manager felt SO changed by reading this story! I wanted to feel 'changed' as well!

Although I consider myself to be spiritual, I am not religious. But I found this to be one of the most inspiring, profound books I've ever read. Perhaps it was just because this was exactly what I needed at exactly this point in time, but I would highly recommend it to anyone who's struggling to follow their passion. If you're not sure what you're "meant" to be doing, or you know what it is, but you're struggling and wondering if all this struggle is for a purpose, you need to read this book. It will open your eyes and your heart and with a couple of self-directed questions, will give you hope and understanding that you're likely headed in the right direction, even when it feels like maybe it's all too hard and you might as well go back to your recliner and remote and turn on the Beavis and Butthead marathon on Nickolodeon. Don't do it. Read this book instead.
Thanks!

This book opened my eyes to the dreams I have been struggling to reach. Bruce Wilkinson showed me that what I have been dealing with is what everyone deals with in trying to reach their goals. This great story teller will be truly missed.
