This book is off the chain!! the series is amazing!
you have no clue what you're missing out on. even if you don't like this genre, i'll garuntee you'll love it!

it's a great book to escape into, yet you walk away w/ things for your mind to chew on.
it's amazing and a MUST READ! don't wish for it...many wont post it. Go out and by it! NOW (however, you need to read the FIRST book in the series first, which is Darkfever. These are NOT stand alone novels and will not make sense w/o them. also, from her highlander series, you have cross over characters and more info into the Fever world)

Moning's books have layers, are complex, somewhat heavy and well-researched books! you will love her style, skill, and wit!

also, her books are in audio format! Phil G does the highlander series and the 4th book in the Fever series (with Natalie). His voice is orgasmic!

Just finished the book and all I can say is "WOW!" I loved it - I am already having withdrawls for the next one - jeez, talk about suspense! Great book, great series, great author. I love how she ties in the Highlander series into this one and love how you think you know what is going to happen next, only to have the rug ripped out from under you. Lots more revelations in this book as well as some new secrets to desire answers for.

If you haven't read this series, start now! You don't need to read the Highlander series first but it might help with some of the questions about those characters from these books (i.e. mentions Adam and the Keltar clan). However, you must read the Fever series in order to fully understand.

So, when is the next one coming out? Seriously, I want to know...

This whole series has been an amazing rollercoaster ride, and this installment is no different. But the cliffhanger!!!! Ms. Moning - have mercy on your fans!

This is one of the best books of the series. Mac is really growing as a heroine, and the action was fast-paced and suspenseful. And what an ending! The cliffhanger keeps you guessing long after you finish the book.

This is the fourth book in the Fever series by Karen Marie Moning. There are five books planned for this series and the fifth book "Shadowfever" is scheduled to release in January of 2011. Much to my dismay I am finally caught up in this series and am stuck with everyone else dealing with the absolutely horrible cliffhanger that happened at the end of this book. This was the best book of the series so far (I know I keep saying that for each additional book, but it is true).

This book starts up right where Faefever left off. Mac is being tortured by the Dark Unseelie Princes and has been turned into a Beast enslaved by the sexual urges the Unseelie Princes project. With Mac out of her mind Dani narrates the beginning of this book. Of course, Mac (kind of) bounces back (was there ever any doubt that she would?). What she has become after the torture she has endured is something different than what she was. This book is about vengeance and Mac, with Dani at her side, will personally try to annihilate all of the Unseelie from Dublin.

This was an absolutely awesome book. So much happens and Mac changes so much as a character. The flowery Mac is replaced by a Mac who is vengeance personified. That is not to say "old Mac" is gone, it is just that she is muted.

If Faefever dealt more with V'lane; than this book is more about Barron. We learn more about him in this book than in any other book so far. We still don't learn enough and I still wasn't satisfied with what we do learn...but I guess I will have to be patient. We also learn more about Mac's Seelie Seer powers and the additional powers that she is developing. A lot is learned about the the history of the Fae and how their world works too.

There is a ton of action in this book; in fact it is relentless. There were times I just wished Mac had a second where someone wasn't trying to kill her. In fact at times the relentless action got a little monotonous; but overall I still enjoyed it. This is definitely a straight urban fantasy; not much romance at all. Moning's writing style is engaging, yet pretty average. The plot is well done but not spectacular. The areas where Moning really shines are characterization and world-building.

Again there is a huge cliffhanger. I could not believe it, even given all the previous cliffhangers, this one left me with my mouth hanging open and frantically trying to find the rest of the pages in the book. Only there weren't any. So now I am stuck with the rest of the Fever fans waiting desperately for Shadowfever... I am really not a fan of authors torturing their readers, I think if you are a skilled enough writer you can complete the novel with decent closure and still have people desperate to read your next book. I think ending books with cliffhangers is more like forcing people to read the next book and sells you a bit short as a writer; wouldn't you rather have people read your books because they love your writing?

Overall an excellent addition to this series. I love what Moning is doing with Mac's character and love how we are finally getting to explore the Fae world. I can't wait for Shadowfever to be released. Moning's strong point is definitely characterization and world-building. Readers should be ware though, this book has another horrible cliffhanger ending.

Just when you think youve lost everything, you find something worth saving.

Jerricho Barrons has taught Mac most of what she knows about the Fae and he is not about to give up on her now, even if she doesnt remember who she is or desire anything besides sex. He spends months with Mac at one of his houses, giving into all her insatiable desires. But the dark Fae have breached the wall and are killing the humans. He needs Mac back to help save them all.
Slowly, Mac becomes more human and less beast. She remembers everything and is soon back in the fight, but it may be too late. This time the Lord Master has her parents.

DREAMFEVER is an adrenaline rush from cover to cover. MacKaylas character matures and grows and we get a deeper glimpse into Barrons past. The cliffhanger ending will have you begging for the next installment. Karen Marie Moning has penned another winner. Absolutely Superb!

I just can't get enough of this series. I love everything about it. This book, as the fourth of the series, did not disappoint. The character development of Mac and Barrons in this book was beautiful. And as this book came to it's dramatic conclusion, I was scrambling to find the next book. Thank the Lord that I had it on hand! The story is pure magic. The intricate weaving of all of these threads into a story that holds us captive, eagerly waiting and anticipating, what will come next. I want to savor it, and yet I find myself gobbling it up, unable to stop.

I enjoyed this book so much I just hate that she leaves u hanging on the edge at the very end! I can not wait till i can read the last book. I think the outcome is gonna be on my mind till i get my hands on the book! LOL

Wow! This has more action and suspense than the previous three books in the series. This isn't a stand alone story. Don't start the Fever series with Dreamfever. This book is also steamier than the previous book. Given Mac's priya status, you know that sex has to be a part of the book, but those sections are not overly graphic.

Mac is reborn after the terrible ordeal in the last book. She wakes up from the incident not remembering anything about herself. She's saved from the Unseelie Princes not by Barrons or V'Lane, but by a rather most unexpected secondary character. However, Barrons has a big part to play in the story. This book takes the relationship between Mac and Barrons to a whole another level. It's a pity their first time together happens the way it does because it deprives the reader of knowing what would have happened had Mac been herself.

I thought the previous book was dark, but this book is even darker. Mac is very strong. She has new abilities. With help from Barrons, Mac manages to overcome what happened to her in the previous book. The "help" Barrons gives her surprised me. He showed a completely different side of his character. He brought her out of her priya state, but Mac being Mac still distrusts him. There were moments in the book where I felt that, had she said something else rather than what she said, their relationship would have gone a different way instead of the usual angsty, push and pull relationship they have with each other. It seemed like he was waiting for something from her and she was too obtuse or too guarded to say it. He's the type of person who won't say "I love you" in words, but rather through actions. He does a lot in this book that shows how much he cares for Mac. If you're looking for romance the way romance books are written, you'll be disappointed. Barrons isn't the mushy type. However, if you want him to stay in character and take care of Mac, you'll like this book. This isn't a romance novel like Moning's Highlander books. The Fever series is urban fantasy/action with a dash of sexual tension between the hero and heroine. Barrons is like Bones in the Night Huntress series by Jeanine Frost. Neither one apologizes for who they are. You take them as they are in their entirety or you don't. They not your classic good-guy heroes, but neither are they antiheroes either.

The ending in this book is a major cliffhanger. It blows all the cliffhangers in the previous Fever books. The cliffhanger reveals something about Barrons that up to now we haven't learned although if you read this book carefully, especially what Mac calls Barrons when she's in her priya state, you'll realize the author heavily foreshadows that bit of information about Barrons.
