Good short stories, quick read
Call this the pu-pu platter of romance collections! Featuring 10 thrilling, romantic tales by some of today's most popular authors, including Linda Lael Miller and Mary Jo Putney, and with an introduction by Tami Hoag, this assembly of stories is equivalent to facing an extravagant smorgasbord with a very small plate. However, heartthrobs, hunks, and heroes abound, each with a mysterious resemblance to Harrison Ford, Daniel Day-Lewis, or Kevin Sorbo of TV's Hercules fame. Perfect for busy people seeking a brief hiatus from the bustle, each story is approximately 30 pages long and spans time from the medieval period to future eras, and locations from King Arthur's court to the Old West to distant planets. There is definitely something here for everyone. By the time you turn the last page, you can't help but hope that the contributors will build these teasers into full-length novels in the very near future.
A fun, wistful read.
It's very light reading with very little substance, but each story lasts for one Chapter a piece. It doesn't have enough room to provide for deeper context. It was interesting to see the writer's inspiration for the story. It had Adrian Paul, Daniel Day-Lewis, Sean Connery, Jimmy Smits, Michael Dorn, Harrison Ford, Kevin Sorbo, Kevin Kline, Colin Firth, and George Clooney. These are who the lead male characters resemble to the writers.
