I think most cabernets are sort of dry aren't they? I tried some cabernet sauvignon in my younger days. I go for sweet and mild stuff now. I hate most champagnes because they are so dry. |

Cabernets are dry - that's why I like them - sometimes they are too bold. Too big boy!! |

I love wine, and we really got into them for a while. You can find some very good wines for $10, but usually not in grocery stores :) If you just step up to $15, and have a good wine shop around, the options grow hugely. We still generally prefer the Old World wines, but Oregon, especially, is doing some VERY nice Pinor Gris and Pinot Noir. Red or white depends mostly on the weather, and what I'm eating. But the old thing about white with fish no longer applies, now that so much fish is being served with flavorful sauces, etc., so it's not just a piece of plain mild fish. |

for some reason I have a hard time drinking wine with a meal. It just does not work for me. |
