I love Linda Howard and have for years. While this book was a departure from her other books - it was written in first person and seemed much lighter - I really liked it, probably because of the change of pace compared to her other books. Blair and Wyatt are a scream - funny and fun. Yes, Blair is high maintenance, but, hey, she even admits that in the book. I liked the lightness of tone - even when serious, it was never too dark (and while I love dark books, this was a great change). If you want something that still has a mystery, romance, Howard's great sex scenes, and lots of fun, this book is a light, refreshing change of pace.

Oh my goodness! I thought this was going to be a syrupy romance story (by the cover pic), but this book made me laugh (out loud at times) from the very first paragraph to the last one. This book was hysterical! I consider this 'fluff' - that's what I label something that I can read and just have a fun quick read and not try to figure out what is what. Just some fun reading that will lift your spirits. She does get quite explicit with some of her descriptions, but it's not bad. Recommended!

I loved this book. Definitely a departure for Linda Howard. I tend to read only her older romances since suspense books aren't my usual taste. But this suspense book is the kind I like. A good mystery with not a lot of gory details about the actual crime. And FUNNY. This, and it's predecessor To Die For, are hilarious books. Wyatt and Blair are a great couple. Blair is refreshing and has a great attitude, despite her high maintenance. I loved her note writing in this book. Definitely recommend both books.

Blair reminds me of Janet Evonavich's characters. There is a wonderful combination of humor, romance and mystery. Anyone that is alittle spasdic will definetly appreciate the main characters thought pattern. Really enjoyed reading this little book

Okay this book was hilarious! Normally I am not one to read first person writings, but because it is a Linda Howard book I gave it a go and LOVED it! I would be absolutley exstatic if Howard desides to continue her series with Blair Mallory/Bloodsworth. Howards books normally have a bit more drama to them, but the comedic quality of this book is wonderful! Even in the process of being run down and escaping from a house fire, Blair is a delightfully light and air character that you just can't walk away from!

The second in the Blair Mallory series (hopefully there will be more). It wasn't as good as the first "To Die For", but I still give it 3 stars. Still funny and refreshing. Blair's personality vs. Wyatt's is the kicker. The only problem in my opinion is Wyatt's attitude regarding her being "high maintenance" got to be a little annoying. He gets to be a little mean to her in this book and very unsympathetic. I liked him better in the first book.

Suspenseful, romantic & funny! Great reading. You will probably like it better if you read To Die For First.

I loved this book! Blair and Wyatt are so much fun together. And I thought it was great how Blair didn't let him get away with anything, calling him on his behavior at every turn. I laughed out loud so often my boyfriend wanted to read the book to see what was so funny. Great job Ms. Howard!

This is the sequal to "To Die For" a thrilling novel featuring Blair Mallory who survived one murder attempt. She is now planning her wedding when another attempt is made on her life. Great read if you are a Linda Howard fan.

Please see my review of "Two Die For", the sister book to "Drop Dead Gorgeous." You don't want to miss either one of these books. They are unlike anything you would expect from Linda Howard.

I haven't read a Linda Howard book in quite awhile I was quite surprised to find that her writing has changed so much. This book was a contemporary quasi-mystery with a whole bunch of hot sex between the empty headed heroine and her blinded by lust alpha cop fiance. Apparently there was a book about these two that came before this one but as the synopsis reads like an exact copy of this book I'm sure not going out of my way to search it out.
Blaire is a beautiful ex-cheerleader who owns a health club called "hot bods" (groan) but never seems to do any work there and is engaged to alpha policeman Wyatt. When someone tries to run Blaire down, starts making harrassing calls and burns down her house Wyatt still thinks she's crying wolf and brushes off her concerns. I guess she was such a ditz in the earlier book that he has reasons for this? I don't know but it sure made him look like a dummy. What I do know is that she was so self-centered and egotistical that I wasn't sad at any point when these horrible things kept happening to her. She just gleefully went on a shopping spree when her house burned to the ground and didn't seem to care that everything she owned was gone, so why should I? I'm guessing this was supposed to be a light-hearted mystery similar to the Stephanie Plum type of romance-mysteries but Blaire was too much of a bubble head and her silly rants were just annoying. She needed to get married NOW because her biological clock is tick-tick-ticking and there's no way she's getting amniocentesis, they might poke the baby in the eye! What a total airhead. This stuff is supposed to be funny?
Though the reader was continually told how "alpha" Wyatt was supposed to be he must've been neutered somewhere along the line because he was quite tame. The big problem here was the first person writing from the point of view of Blaire. We don't get to know any of the characters and Blaire's head is so empty most of the book is hard to take.
As for the mystery? There are virtually no suspects besides the idea that some woman must be crazy with jealousy because Blaire is so perfect, so beautiful, so rich. When the attempted killer is revealed it's lame and predictable and fits in perfectly with the rest of the book.

A good book.
Blair has already survived one murder attempt. Now, while planning her wedding she once again dodges a bullet, or more precisely, a Buick. The driver's intentions are all too clear.
A great read. Linda Howard has become one of my favorite suspense writers.
Blair Mallory has already survived one murder attempt. Now, while planning her wedding and dealing with holiday-season madness, Blair once again dodges a bullet. Or, more precisely, a Buick. And though the driver's identity remains a mystery, his or her murderous intentions are all too clear. Or are they? After all, Blair's homicidal ex-husband and his partner-in-crime/wife are safely behind bars. And even Wyatt Bloodsworth, Blair's police detective groom-to-be, isn't inclined to believe she's being targeted again. All of which makes Blair wonder if her close call was simply a mishap. But the wondering stops when she narrowly cheats death again in another seemingly innocent accident. Two strikes is all it takes to convince Blair that she's back in someone's crosshairs. And the only thing more frightening is that Wyatt still doubts her. That means this time no one will be watching Blair's back when she sets out to get the drop on her would-be killer--before whoever it is finally drops her.
Didn't read it; my wife donated it to the cause.
Funny suspenseful romance
I couldn't stop laughing. A fast paced fun read.
Funny well written mystery. Lots of sex and humor. Her boyfriend is just about perfect and puts up with a lot from the main character.
This is a great book by Linda Howard. Very sexy and also a great mystery!
Part two to "To Die For" and it is a must read. Again, Linda Howard pulls off the first person with lots of laughs and drama. A fun book to read!

I liked this book..funny, very 'tongue-in-cheek'
Sexy, funny and thrilling. Loved it!
Lots of humor in this book
Sequel to Linda Howard's book "To Die For". Light and easy reading.
Both of these "Blair Mallory" books are wonderfully amusing. I giggled out loud & my husband had to ask what was so funny! The characters were built so thoroughly that I felt like I knew & understood them. Just terrific - plan on reading every one of Linda Howards books in hopes they are this good.

This sequel to "To Die For" wasn't that bad. I liked it!
Great follow-up story to To Die For.
This book continues where "To Die For" left off, in the story of Blair Mallory and Wyatt Bloodsworth. Linda Howard delivers another entertaining, sexy tale.

not my favorite Howard book. i don't like stories told in first person. it dragged in parts.
This was OK. Light, not as funny as the first. There was no character development. These two did not grow at all through all this trauma.
Light reading. Funny mystery with an interesting recipe at the end as a bonus.
Good Linda Howard story. If you read To Die For, this is the sequel to that one. Happy reading.

Wyatt Bloodsworth has given his fiancee, Blair Mallory, 30 days to plan their wedding, or they are flying to Vegas. While shopping for her wedding dress, Blair is nearly run down in the mall parking lot and furious that no one seems to notice her lying on the ground until she has already called for help. Soon after getting out of the hospital, Blair notices a white Chevy following her. When she tells Wyatt, he blows it off as it being her overactive imagination. This make narcissistic Blair's blood boil and she starts writing up a list of his transgressions. When yet another attack is made on her life, causing her condo to go up in flames, Wyatt thinks she might have a point after all. But is it too late?
This is the sequel to "To Die For" and written in first person. Fun, light-hearted suspense. Highly recommend. My rating: 5 Stars.

Another well written book. Blair Mallory and her police Lt. boyfriend make you laugh and can make you get angry. Blair is being stalked and the Lt. thinks she just needs attention. This is a real rollercoaster ride.
Great book
Having read the 1st book "To Die For" I was excited to get back to Blair and Wyatt. This story was a continuation leading up to their wedding. It was hilarious to read about "deadlines" and what she'd go through to make a point.
Wyatt and Blair are back and blazing! Loved this sequel to "To Die For". I bought the audiobook so I could listen to it on trips.
I thought this a well planned sequel to To Die For. You should read that one first. Mallory and Wyatt are so great....the Gym owner/former cheer leader and the Detective/former pro footballer....he is ESPECIALLY hot. Has great repartee and made me laugh over and over.

Great book. Like all of Linda Howards. This is a sequel to 'To Die For' Blair Mallory is being stalked again!
A lighter mystery than Linda Howard usually writes. Had some laughs & kept me interested.

Fun read--a little like Evanovich, but not as funny. I enjoyed it!
Not as good as the first Blair/Wyatt book, To Die For, but that's a hard standard to live up to! And I still loved reading about them again!
Another great book by one of my faves, Linda Howard.

cute read
Amusing and clever mystery romance by a very experienced writer.
Very exciting - hard to stop reading once you start this one.
Blair is back- getting ready for her marriage to Wyatt when she is almost run over in the mall parking lot. She is convinced that it wasn't an accident as everyone else keeps insisting. Very funny book. I hope we see more of Blair
I love the two Blair Mallory books by Linda Howard! Wonderful characters, great wit and a mystery besides.
sequel to "To Die For" with Blair Mallory and
Wyatt Bloodsworth.
Wyatt Bloodsworth.
She's a complete stunner being stalked by a cunning killer, Blair Mallory was also featured in TO DIE FOR by Howard.
I enjoyed this book even though I figured out "whodunit" pretty early on. Quick fun read, loved the main characters.
A story told with a great deal of humor!~
