Though not as funny as the TV show, this book had some interesting stories to tell about life, the duck commander getting to where it is now, and about the others. I never knew (spoiler alert!) that Si was married (end spoiler alert). That was an interesting tid bit that was in the book. I wish the humor that the show carries was in this book, but it just wasn't hence the half a star missing from the rating. Still a great read for any fan of the show. And it gives recipes though the chances of me making any of these are slim to none lol.

I really enjoyed this read. I love the show so i knew this would be some wonderful background and it was. I don't think this was written to be funny. It was written to inform and tell about their family life, faith, and start of business. It was a perfect book to read if you love the show as you will be filled in on each member. Offers pictures and some reipes that i think maybe Miss Kate might have wanted to share :). This is a really wonderful family they genuinely love each other and work together...interesting people too.

We are fans of Duck Dynasty so we ordered this book. This is Willie and Korie's story, but the rest of the family is in the book too. The photos are a bonus (including one of Willie with no beard!). A great read!

LOVED this book and can't wait to read the next one I have about the life of Phil Robertson, the Dad of the family.........PBS doesnt list this as christian reading but I did find it on christianbooks.com. I cant see why it won't fit the genre.
I love to watch the TV show Duck Dynasty.........especially the end when the family is gathered together around the dinner table, showing their family love and their faith by sharing a prayer with us........This book is written by Willie (oldest son) and his wife Korie.......it tells you how the dynasty began, stories of their family lives over the years........each chapter's recipe is associated with a food which is worked into the story ofthe chapter, a Bible verse at the beginning of the chapter, and the chapter ends with the recipe. The stories are told alternately by Willie and Korie; after watching the TV show, I can hear their voices, imagine their expressions, mannerisms, etc while reading the book........
This is a fun, entertaining, touching, and inspirational book!!

I have watched maybe 1-2 episodes of "Duck Dynasty", but became interested in this families free lunches at school to millionaire story and I wasn't disappointed. Although I enjoyed "A New Season: A Robertson Family Love Story of Brokenness and Redemption " much more, this book is a good read also b/c you see the families story from another brother's perspective. "Faith, family, fun" is the theme..along with making a little money.
