So good! I read it in less than 24 hours. This isn't a retelling of Ugly Duckling, this is a whole new story. It's part myth, part fantasy, and actually quite dark. I thought the ending was really well done, too. It's set up so that there can be a sequel, but not necessary.
The book also raises interesting questions about beauty, aesthetics, self esteem, our culture, society, etc. It's just really well done in terms of plot, characters, and questions.
Would definitely recommend this to others, and would read more by the author.
