An enjoyable, escapist road romance, even if it did feel like the lone ranger in the series. I never really felt invested in Marcus and Alyse's relationship, even when they did share secrets, which I guess were intended to flesh them out. Marcus's road to maturity was a little annoying, but watching the two of them struggle against their mutual attraction was a delicious tension builder, resulting in some wonderfully sexy scenes that secured Jordan on my must-read list. 3.5 stars.

Absolutely loved this story, started off great and continued to get better.
The characters were well developed, Alyse was not a whinny woman, held her own and was funny.
Marcus was broody and sullen but still had personality that would come through and make him likable.
Great series and this one is a sit and read in one setting!
