This was a delight! There's no way that this copy is going off my shelf and back into circulation. A KEEPER.

Really loved Bel and Robert's story. It was the first in this series that I've read and it kept my attention. I quickly get bored and irked w/mushy, cheesy stories. This book is a keeper for me. It is fast-paced, with witty dialogue, hot steamy chemistry and love scenes; overall, it is wonderfully entertaining. Peppered w/a few bittersweet moments here and there, I think it will clench your heart as well. Enjoy!

The Duke is a touching story of a young woman's struggle to survive the streets and later the art of courtesan life until she is rescued by the man of her dreams. This book is a fabulous beginning to the Knight series.

Oh so good... I say this about a lot of books but this time it is so true... I couldn't put it down. This book was different from other books of this genre because the author didn't gloss over the more unpleasant parts. I am hoping that she addresses the loose ends at the end of the book in the following 6 books.
I am looking forward to reading the remaining 6 books. If you are interested in this series, let me know. I have all 7 books.

Wow, what a great book. The banter between the hero and heroine is great! Hawk is the ideal Duke, to haughty for his own good. When he breaks away from how he thinks a duke should act he begins to enjoy his life.

I just finished : an excellent beach copy
I especially enjoy this author
Also, I like series romances
It's great fun when a favorite character reappears as a side dish or starts as a side dish and then has an adventure in the next edition
Ms Foley is such a romantic
Her characters are robust and just insecure enough to root for FMK

This one I consider to be the best of her series!

I should have read the series in order. This book, while a decent read, paled in comparison to the other books in the series, namely Lord of Fire and Lord of Ice. The plot was inventive and the characters were fine, but it just seemed lackluster. Not Foley's best work, but still enjoyable. Some of the scenes *coughlibrarycough* will stick with me merely because they were written quite well. Foley has a knack for writing emotions.

Great novel, part of wonderful series of siblings, some of my favorite characters ever!

Story about a woman in 1800 forced into a undesirable life style. She is not what she seems. The Duke of Hawkscliffe doesn't hesitate to use her to help him catch a murder but in public is she good enough for him? It is a good story full of suspense and romance.

A very romantic historical Regency. You'll love the Duke of Hawscliffe too, as well as the heroine of the story.
Driven to uncover the truth about the mysterious death of his ladylove, the Duke of Hawscliffe will go to any lengths to unmask the murderer. Even if it means jeopardizing his reputation by engaging in a scadalous affair with London's most provocative courtesan--the desirable but aloof Belinda Hamilton.

Loved this book! Put Ms. Foley on my Favorite Authors List and this book on my keeper shelf.
I wanted to read this book as the first in the series, after reading one of the later books. I enjoyed it and am in the process of reading the whold series.
As always--great hero, and heroine. Gaelen does it again! :)
