This book was slightly disappointing because it did not have a lot of recipes that I would ever cook. However, being that I had just acquired my first dutch oven, I thought this cookbook would help getting me acquainted with its uses. If you're familiar with cooking in a crock pot, the dutch oven is very similar except it's not a "set it and forget it" type of cooking vessel. It reminds me more of a pressure cooker without a pressure valve.
