I had been looking forward to reading this book after having waited for it for so long. I have to say I was bit disappointed in it. It seemed like it dragged in several places, and I was just ready for it to end. I will continue to read the series though, and hopefully the next one will be better.

I'm sorry to say that this is not one of my favorite books in this series. While the plot line was interesting and intriguing, I kept losing track of it because of all the profanity in the book. I don't remember her other books having this problem. Occasional profanity I can deal with, but there was alot of it, at least one comment on every page, and I just don't like to read that much. To me, it just took a lot away from the plot line and it was not like it was necessary to the story. I have her next book on my wish list, but if it is the same way, I won't be looking to read anymore.

This review does contain a bit of a spoiler so please skip it if you don't want to know anything about the book before reading! :)

I loved this series when it first started, but I did not love this installment. The plot seemed a little unusual by the end. I had a million and 4 ideas as to why the victim was killed and they were all very wrong. But, in the end, I liked my possibilities more than the what the author gave me. There was one thing in the book that really got to me. Kelly has a moment where she thinks she's figured out who is behind every thing and even thinks she might be falling into a trap, but she stubbornly ignores that thought and proceeds recklessly. I understand that she's impatient and impulsive to a degree, but it just didn't feel genuine. If one thought they might be walking in to a trap of some kind, even for a second, how could they proceed without finding a way to inform someone just to be safe? It's one thing to walk in on a killer unwittingly in a mystery novel, it's another to recognize it may be a trap but proceed without a safety net. I thought it was a little sloppy because the author showed me that Kelly wasn't blind to the possibility of walking into a killer's trap. But, no, instead she ignores her internal warnings, with the handicap of a broken ankle no less. With all of that said, however, I look forward to reading the next book in the series. But, if I'm unhappy when I finish that one, I can't say for certain I will continue with future installments. :(

In Dyer Consequences, Kelly Flynn is harassed with acts of vandalism. Kelly's friend Jennifer, introduces her co-worker, Tracy, to the wonderful world of hand-dyed yarns. Soon after murder ensues.

This was a nice read, but not as good as her others. It started out slow and didn't grab my attention like the others, but eventually ties back to the previous books. The coffee addiction is getting a bit old and over emphasized in this book. I found myself skipping entire sections of the book and eventually just going to the back to get the pattern. Not her best but an okay read. I will continue to read the rest of the series.

I always enjoy Maggie Sefton's books. But, this one left me wanting more from it. It didn't seem very realistic. But, I do hope to read the next one.

Kelly Flynn is eager to renovate the alpaca ranch she's just bought, but someone else has different ideas for keeping her busy, which seem to include slashing tires, cracking windshields, and covering the walls of her cottage with red paint. Then her local yarn shop, House of Lambspun, is trashed and a young woman is found dead in the basement, drowned in a tub of dye. As disturbing incidents continue to pile up, Kelly knows she must try to pick up the stitches of these crimes before a killer strikes again. But she can't fathom what anyone at Lambspun could have done to invite such dyer consequences.
