What a wonderful book for those of us who want to understand the equation but do not want to take a phyics course to do it. The author gives a informative back round of the beginnings of the concept to the ongoing understanding of it. Great read.

What I read was interesting and informative, but he starts by saying he wants to get away from biographies of the physicists and do a biography of the equation, then proceeds to flesh out the biography of Einstein, Farraday, Lavoisier, and later Oppenheimer.

Delightful book. It combines the personalities of the scientists with their discoveries in a manner tht kept up my interest to the last page.
