A very in-depth look into the life of Amelia Earhart, from her childhood through adulthood right up until her disappearance, which by the way is just barely touched upon. Very little time is spent investigating the mystery, but rather this truly a bokk about Amelia Earhart, the person. Aviation aside, this woman was amazing. I never realized there were so many other aspects to her life - I always thought she was just about being a female pilot. Well, this book set me straight, and now I am even more of an Amelia Earhart fan. She was even more ahead of her time than I ever thought.

Some parts of this story are so detailed (particularly about her earlier years) that it can be a bit tough to get into, but in the end you really feel like you know the person so it's worth it. A very informative, interesting read - highly recommend it!

I have never read a biography that kept me turning the pages as this book.I almost read it in one reading for I could not put the book down. Susan Bulter almost wrote it like a novel which only encouraged me to read more. I had seen the movie,Amelia, but somehow this book gave me a different insider look at Amelia than the movie. I usually don't get through the beginings of the family history but found her family interesting and alive. I was left with still wanting to know more about Amelia.I would highly recommend this book.
