I found myself once again reading into the early morning hours because I couldn't put this book down. I mean seriously who needs sleep anyway.
I love how Tammara took a serious situation and brought to light. Also brought up how women can protect themselves when placed in this kind of situation. Even though it's a serious situation I was glad that she didn't go into tooo much detail that might have made me stop reading the book. She gets her point across but allows us as the readers to focus on other parts of the story as well.
Jacqueline is a strong female character. Not only does she learn to confess what happened to her but she faces those who don't believe her. She also overcomes her heart break from being dumped by her boyfriend of 3 years. She doesn't let that or the night of halloween stop her from moving on. Yes she does do the wrong thing in the beginning but she decides to make the right decision in the end.
Of coarse there is Lucas. Her savior that awful night. He is protective, kind, smart, and hot. What is not to like. Not to mention the lip piercing, tatoos, and artist. He also has a past that he is trying to overcome and the fact that he took his second chance and made something of himself is very comendable.
These 2 together were perfect in my opinion. I loved reading every moment and interaction these 2 shared. This is a book I will probably re-read at some point in the near future. I just don't think I got my fix of Lucas

I really liked this book. The story was very believable, and the characters were well developed. I actually liked the main girl character for a change. I didn't give it 5 stars only because it was a little too subtle in the declarations of love department. Call me crazy but I need the heart racing, make you want to puke kind of love confessions even if it's only said at the very end. It's sort of like the cherry on top! For now my sundae is incomplete, however the story was still very yummy!
Great little book and a quick read. Likable characters and a couple of surprises-- good writing.
Loved this book! Quick read and definitely a page turner!
I absolutely loved this book! It's written more for teens and college kids, but I'm 40 and I couldn't put it down. The author makes you feel like you know the main characters, and it's one of those books where you feel as though you're in the book. Lucas is my favorite character in the book, the "knight in shining armor". Very well-written, complete with a few surprises.
It was good
Loved it, this is the first book I have read from Ms Webber and it wont be my last. This is a YA/NA that covers, heartache, rape, how to defend yourself from perinatal rapists, friendship, drama and love built from trust and understanding. I wont spoil this but it was a great read, cant wait to read Lucas's story.
This book drove me a little crazy. The characters were not at all developed. It deals with huge topics like rape and murder which should be the focal point of the book when the focal point was actually the lust between Lucas and Jacqueline. I did not buy their relationship to be real at all. I am getting sick of these superficially sexy books. I felt that this author was just trying to make the lust legitimate by throwing in the hard topics. They were not given their justice.
