I must tell you that I really don't care for Country Style, but prefer Contemporary. I took a chance on this book and was pleasantly surprised because it is so informative.
Did you know there is actually a style called Modern Country? I didn't. Other Country styles described here include English Country Cottage, Shaker, Mediterranean, Swedish, and Early American. Each style has its own origins and features.
The next section is on colors and surfaces used in Country decor. This is followed by Furnishings. The last section is on Rooms. The author takes each individual room of a home and discusses it. She even includes the porch!
Good reading and lovely photos, what more can a reader ask for in a book? Enjoy!
