Hard to believe but his sequel to Voice in the Wind is even more exciting. You are immediately drawn into the Roman and Hebrew cultures and anxiously read every page to know what happens to Hadassah, Marcus, and the others. Wonderfully written. I devoured it! Hadassah is my literary heroine! Rita Award winner.

Francine Rivers is a wonderful storyteller and she draws you into a very realistic, historical view of life in first century Rome. The story of Hadassah's faithfulness to her Lord, in spite of everything that happened to her, and Marcus's search for God will change the hearts of everyone who reads it. I couldn't stop reading it, couldn't wait to get the next one and my friends say the same thing! It touched my soul, and I will never forget this story. I wanted more after reading it!

If you read the first book in this series, you'll be anxious to get this one and continue the journey. You'll not be sorry you read this one.

The Mark of the Lion series was so good I would give it ten stars if there were that many. I am so grateful I discovered this author. All my years in church and I never learned a smidge of what I learned about Jerusalem and the history of that time like I learned from the book. Her research is phenomenal and I also really believe inspired. Many times I cried through it as she made Christ and his teachings come alive for me. She put me right back into that time and it was impossible to stop reading till all 3 books were read and now I have started on everything else Francine Rivers has written.

This is the second in the series and what a series it is!! Francine has quickly become my favorite author! I devoured this story to see what would happen, it's a wonderful story of Christian faith, hope and the search of Marcus for God is a picture of all of us looking for what's right there in reach of us all. Hadassah is a wonderful heroine, and in spite of all that's happened to her she continues to serve God and is a picture of what Faith really is!! GREAT BOOK!!!

Loved it as much as the first one. Waiting (not so) patiently for the 3rd to come available. Good series!

Many positive thoughts: rich in authentic history, breaks formulaic"beautifullady meets& marries handsome slightly naughty" man, true christian fiction, and unbelievably suspensful. On waiting list for third in series.

Book 2 of 3 in the Mark of the Lion series is a fantastic story of historical Christian drama of the first century AD. I loved the way Francine Rivers writes about these great historical events.

If you have not read the first book in the Mark of Lion series, please do so before reading this one. I read all three book in the series and this one was most compelling. This is the best of the Christian fiction I have read.

Absolutely LOVED this series. Total of three, but the third can be read on its own. Worth reading a second time.
Francine always makes you think in addition to telling you a good story. Set in Roman times when they were using Christians vs lions as entertainment.

I loved this book and series. What a story of faith and believing in God and trusting in God. Its historial events and how life was in that time helps to understand what christians went through back then. One of my favorite authors.
Great Book!!
I love this series - all three of these books are wonderful. Although the first and last are my favorites.
An absolutely amazing book - a wonderful, epic journey through life in the first century. A great example of Christianity. Unforgettable - one of the best series of books I've ever read.

Oh my goodness this is the best series I have ever read. They look huge and let me tell you they are so chock full of teaching of several differing characters, from all vantage points during the Roman rule and persecution of Christians. You won't be able to put them down. I want to be just like Hadassa the main lead of all three who with her inner beauty shows Christs love to the most horrific of characters, Patiently she waits on God!What a lesson for me. You will be changed by the three books, read them in order tho.

One of my favorite authors for sure. Loved this book, second in a series. My emotions ran wild as always when I read Francine Rivers.
Couldn't put it down. Enjoyed the entire trilogy by this writer. I've since shared w/friends and they, too, find the story intriguing and "can't put it down" attitude. EXCELLENT READ! I enjoyed becoming more familiar w/life and times in the first century. We take so much for granted today.
Wonderful!

Absolutely wonderful. The pages almost turn themselves it's so engrossing. I cannot say enough wonderful things about it. You will feel like you are there in that era of early Christianity. It makes me ashamed of the easy life I live compared to these early Christians. You will not be sorry you read this book. The Bible comes alive in her wonderful description of the life of early Christians.
a good book
