RNPatterson is one of my favorite authors. I loved his last book and so I was excited to read this one. It was a big dissapointment. It was depressing and it dragged. If you want to learn about the corruption involved in oil( big surprise?) and the horrible conditons in Africa( no suprises here either) then maybe it might be interesting to you. The love triangle was not at all believable. I wouldnt waste my time on this one.
Part courtroom drama, part international thriller, this novel traces the arrest and trial of a charismatic African resistance leader speaking out against genocide and the environmental rape of his country. It's ultimately a downer, extremely slow, and the plot has more noodles than a Chinese banquet.
Really enjoyed this book. Very interesting story. I would recommend this one!
