THis is a taste of children's books when they were good wholesome reading. The story is about a boy named Eddie who has a pet goat named Gardenia. Gardenia is always getting into so much trouble that Eddie's Dad has had enough. Uncle Ed offers to take Gardenia to live on his ranch in Texas a invites Eddie to stay with them a few months as Gardenia settles in. Then the fun begins! I like the book not only because it was entertaining bbut also because it is one I could let my grandchildren read without worrying about what might be in it that was in appropriate.
