A good story of romance as well as political upheaval in the Caribbean.
It is a book club edition. Set in a tropical background of a gracious island estate and the complex family that has owned it for over three hundred year.
It was a good read ... but a little too political for me.
My copy has a different picture and is dated June 1983. This is about a fictional island in the Carribean. True to Belva Plain's other books her characters are life like and the story makes you want to just keep reading.
